“For years I have been experimenting with better ways to exercise. As a professional dancer I was often in pain, able to accomplish difficult steps, but only through sheer force of will.
While immersing myself in the natural and basic movements taught by Moshe Feldenkrais, I rediscovered the skill, awareness and sense of power I had enjoyed as a small child. And then I thought, ‘Why not combine this new-found freedom of movement with the use of exercise equipment? What a concept!’
So I did … with free weights, Nautilus, Cybex, weighted pulleys, Pilates, Gyrotonic expansion machines and others. It’s easy to do and it works!”
By using basic developmental patterns of movement with graded resistance and my gentle hands-on guidance, you will learn to use more of yourself to accomplish your intentions. When you use the body the way it was designed, your body responds with pleasure.
My approach is designed to enhance physical strength and intelligence through a process of pleasurable learning.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO HURT TO BE FIT
Traditional training approaches may simply isolate and strengthen individual muscle groups, ignoring the use of the body as a functional whole. Thus, the added muscular strength may not necessarily translate into better performance.
